| 30-40 Krag; good bore, fair stock, 22'' barrel, Original metal finish and walnut stock. Fixed front sight. M1901 rear sight marked "C" on the left side. The finish on the barrel has turned dark patina and on the receiver a mottled appearance. The wood has been sanded with no legible markings remaining. The original handguard has cracks at each end and a small spot of filler. An upper band with sling swivel has been installed and a swivel and base attached to the bottom of the butt has been added. The bore may improve in condition with a thorough cleaning, strong fairly sharp rifling., s/n 2855xx |
