| 30-40 Krag; 80% blue, very good bore, very good stock, 30'' barrel, This is a model 1898 Krag Rifle, that is dated 1899. A serial number look up indicates that it was produced in early 1899. (Model 1898 Rifles were produced from 1898-1903). Standard 30-inch bbl. with pedestal and pin-blade front sight and flip-up graduated rear sight. Usual Krag bolt-action with normal "U.S. MODEL 1898 SPRINGFIELD ARMY" and 137981 s/n on left side. The metal finish has some thinning and edge wear., It has a small crack at the top of the forearm at the breech. It has a brown leather sling., s/n 1379xx |
