| 69 Caliber; fair bore, good stock, 26'' barrel, Springfield Armory manufacture, dated 1847. Bright finished metal with some dark spotting and light pitting around the bolster area. Iron mounted walnut stock. US marked buttp[late tang. Strong inspector cartouches on the left side flat opposite the lock. 1847 date on top of the barrel tang. V, P and eagleshead proofs over the left side of the barrel. Original trumpet head ramrod. Lock functions well. Bore has frost and pitting. The tip of the upper band spring is broken. Antique |
