| 45/70; 10% blue, excellent bore, good stock, 32.6'' barrel, SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1884 TRAP DOOR INFANTRY RIFLE IN ANTIQUE GOOD OVERALL CONDITION. THE BLUING HAS MOSTLY TURNED PATINA WITH SOME REMNANTS ON THE BANDS. THE CASE COLORED BREACH HAS FAINT REMNANTS. THE BORE IS BRIGHT WITH EXCELLENT RIFLING. THE STOCK SHOWS NUMEROUS DINGS, SCRATCHES AND COMPRESSION DENTS AND HAS BEEN SANDED AND REFINISHED AT SOME POINT. THE MODEL 1884 WAS AN UPGRADE TO THE M1873 RIFLE WITH THE ADDITION OF THE BUFFINGTON REAR SIGHT. THIS EXAMPLE SHOULD BE AN EXCELLENT SHOOTER., s/n 4711xx |
