| 45/70; 70% blue, very good bore, very good+ stock, 22'' barrel, Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor Saddle Ring Carbine S/N 209344 indicates an 1884 manufacture date. The front sight is a blade and it has the original & correct ‘’C’’ Marked (for carbine) early ramp site. The top of the loading door is stamped U.S. / MODEL / 1884 and the side plate has US / SPRINGFIELD and an EAGLE. The metal finish has lite thinning on the barrel and the case color fading out. On the receiver and side plate – hammer. The buttplate has US stamped on the rollover. The original cleaning kit & bore cleaning tool in the buttstock. The lockup is tight. The walnut stock is in very good condition with very minor handling marks. The consignor states he has shot this weapon with no issues at all., s/n 2093xx |
