THE FINISH HAS TURNED MOSTLY PATINA WITH REMNANTS OF BLUING ON THE FRAME AND BARREL. THE BORE IS BRIGHT WITH VERY GOOD RIFLING. THE SMOOTH ONE PIECE GRIPS ARE SOLID SHOWING LIGHT DINGS AND HANDLING MARKS. THE DOUBLE ACTION MECHANISM FUNCTIONS PROPERLY. THERE WERE 23000 OF THESE PRODUCED BETWEEN 1862-1863 AND WAS THE 3'RD MOST ISSUED CIVIL WAR ERA REVOLVERS. |
