| 303 British; 85% blue, poor bore, poor stock, 18'' barrel, This is a non-matching numbers Dutch Mannlicher bolt action cavalry carbine converted to 303 British. Conversion involved shortening the barrels, re-boring them to 303 British and installing a flash suppressor/bayonet lug on the end. Marked "Steyr 1897" on the side of the receiver. The top of the receiver is marked, 'Cal 7.7 / remarked, JK / 1952 / A934. The metal has scattered freckling and pits. The furniture has been painted black and has numerous nicks, dings, compression dents with a repaired crack on top of wrist. The hand guard is loose., s/n A9xx |
