| 65% blue, fair bore, 21'' barrel, ANTIQUE STEYR CARBINE THAT APPEARS TO BE THEIR VERSION OF THE 1871 MAUSER SINGLE SHOT CARBINE CHAMBERED IN 8X60 MMr CALIBER IN FAIR OVERALL CODITION. THIS EXAMPLE BEARS NO PROOFS OR VISIBLE SERIAL NUMBER WITH THE THE ONLY CLEAR MARKING IS "STEYR" ON THE BARREL. THE STRIKER IS NUMBERED 34 AND THE BOLT HANDLE HAS A SCRUBBED NUMBER. THE BLUING HAS DULLED AND FADED. THE BORE HAS WELL WORN RIFLING WITH OXIDATION PRESENT. THE STOCK SHOWS LONG HAIRLINE CRACKS BEHIND THE REAR BAND ON BOTH SIDES PLUS NUMEROUS DINGS AND SCRATCHES. THIS IS AN INTERESTING STEYR VARIATION. |
