| 308 CAL; 5% blue, excellent bore, fair stock, 23.5'' barrel, READ WARNING!!!!! STEYR CHILEAN CONTRACT MODEL 1912 RIFLE WITH A MISMATCHED BOLT. THE RIFLE WAS CONVERTED TO FIRE .308 AND THE BARREL IS SO MARKED. THESE CONVERSIONS TO 308 WERE THOUGHT BY SOME GUNSMITHS TO BE DONE IS AN UNSAFE WAY. WHILE THE M1912 IS STRONG ENOUGH TO HANDLE THE PRESSURE A SLEEVE WAS SOLDIERED INTO PLACE IN THE ORIGINAL 7MM CHAMBER USUALLY WITH A GAP IN FRONT OF THE SLEEVE. THE BLUING IS MOSTLY GONE WITH REMNANTS REMAINING ON THE TRIGGER GUARD. THE REBORE IS MIRROR BRIGHT WITH EXCELLENT RIFLING. THE STOCK IS BEAT SHOWING NUMEROUS DINGS, SCRATCHES AND COMPRESSION DENTS. WE STRONLY RECOMMEND NOT SHOOTING THIS RIFLE. IF YOU DECIDE TO SHOOT IT PRIOR TO DOING SO HAVE IT EXAMINED BY A GUNSMITH., s/n A95xx |
