| 6.5 Caliber; 75% blue, poor bore, fair stock, 33.85'' barrel, ITALIAN M1870/87/15 VETTERLI MADE AT TERNI ARSENAL IN 1890 IN ANTIQUE FINE CONDITION. THE BLUING SHOWS HEAVY FINISH LOSS ON THE BANDS ALONG WITH OXIDATION ON THE TRIGGERGUARD ASSEMBLY. THE BORE HAS HEAVILY WORN RIFLING WITH CORROSION PRESENT. THE STOCK HAS AN ARSENAL REPAIR AT THE BUTT ALONG WITH A GOUGE WITH A SMALL PIECE MISSING AT THE LEFT RECEIVER. DURING WWI THIS RIFLE WAS CONVERTED TO FIRE THE 6.5MM ROUND USED IN THE 1891 CARCANO., s/n KU74xx |
