| 54 Cal; excellent bore, very good stock, 8.5'' barrel, Henry Aston & Co manufacture, marked on the lockplate forward of the hammer "U.S./H.ASTON & CO" and at the back of the lockplate "MIDDtn/CONN/1851". Original bright metal, walnut stock with brass mounts. Stamped over the left side of the barrel "US/LCR/P". The stock does not appear to have been sanded, however there is no visible inspector cartouche on the left side flat. There is a small "H" stamp near the back edge of the stock flat. The metal and brass has been cleaned in the past. Most markings remain clear and legible. Mechanically fine with a nice condition bore. Antique, |
