| 45-70 Government; fair bore, fair stock, 32.5'' barrel, Marked on the side of the lockplate "U.S./SPRINGFIELD" with the Eagle motif. The breechbolt is marked "MODEL/1873". The black walnut stock has no visible markings. The metal is coated with a surface rust patina with some scattered light-minor pitting. The tip of the forend has a chip missing on the right side. A leather sling is attached with no legible markings but appears to be original. The bore has well defined rifling with corrosion throughout. Complete with an original cleaning rod. The acton works fine., s/n 3754xx |
