| Model 1860 U.S. Cavalry Saber from the Civil War marked on the 35" curved blade ricasso: oval Mansfield & Lamb logo. Reverse is marked; U.S. / C.E.W. / 1864. This date is somewhat washed out from patina. The leather washer is intact. Brass knuckle guard and C.E.W. marked pommel has turn to a mustard color. The leather and brass wire wrap are missing with the wood being cracked. Blade only shows traces of blue. The sword is in its original steel scabbard with two suspension rings. It has heavy patina. |
