| 30-40 Krag; 10% blue, 22'' barrel, Manufactured in 1903, this rifle has been cut down to a 22-inch barrel with a raised bead front sight brazed on. The rear sight is a 2000 meter tangent. The receiver is marked, ‘MODEL 1898. SPRINGFIELD ARMORY and s/n’. The blue finish is mostly gone with light scattered freckling and some bench vise scores behind rear sight. The trapdoor buttplate is marked with, ‘D? / 60” and is missing the rear sling swivel and cleaning rod. The forearm is cut under the band. There is a faint encircled ‘P’ on bottom of wrist. Some dis-coloration and a small crack at butt. The bore shows corrosion., s/n 4169xx |
