| Manufactured by B.F. McDonald Company, Los Angeles, California. It has a mint condition McDonald sticker inside the shell. Some notes on the internet said this was worn by the Merchant Marine sailors and by Civilians. And by our troops at the beginning stages of WWII. Comparing the McDonald Helmet to a 1917 WWI helmet for comparison. They are similar but the McDonald helmet is more oval and has a higher profile. The helmet is in overall excellent condition, but it has a quarter size shallow impression on the right side. The helmet is complete., |
