| WWI U.S. ARMY UNIFORM GROUP OF MEDICAL CORPS PFC Frank Race from Pendleton KY who served in the 333 Field Hospital (a part of the 84th Infantry Division.) Uniform consists of coat, pants overseas cap, ONE PUTTEE. Uniform Insignia includes 84th Division shoulder patch, red discharge stripe, two gold overseas service chevrons, medical pfc patch, with U.S. and medical corps collar disks and Victory Ribbon. Additional items include his steel helmet with liner and chin strap, gas mask with bag (bag has a repaired rip on the back side and a British officers musette bag with his name in it (leather bottom of bag has deteriorated) and two extra discharge stripes. Also included is an original AEF document listing soldiers returning to the USA which Includes his name. Research includes copy of his discharge, copy of his statement of service card summarizing his service, copy of his obit, copy of his application for serviceman’s bonus and a brief history of the organization and service of the 84th Division., |
