| WW1 US Navy uniform of Aviation Machinists Mate 1st Class Henry C. Maier from Aurora, IL Group consists of his jumper, pants and flat hat. The flat hat has the silk bow at the back but no ribbon with a ship name. He served on the USS Great Northern, USS Thurlow and the USS Sigourney. Research includes a copy from the book The Boys of Aurora with a summary of his service and a picture of him, also a short history of the USS Sigourney (a destroyer).
