| U.S. NAVY Uniform of Petty Officer Class Joseph C. Martin from Divernon, Ill who served from 1919 to 1921 on the battleship USS IDAHO. The group includes his jumper, pants, scarf and hat (With USS IDAHO Ribbon). Group also includes framed studio photo of him and a 40 plus page copy of his persona file. It appears that he spent his entire service time on the IDAHO assigned to the boilers and engine aera. He progressed from Fireman 3rd class to petty officer 2nd class water tender (WT 2C). Water tenders were in charge of seeing that the boilers were receiving the proper amount of water. Uniform is in very good condition. $295. |
