| 12 Gauge; 85% blue, excellent bore, very good stock, 30'' barrel, c.1900 English Anson & Deeley boxlock double. Blued finish steel barrels with 2 1/2 inch chambers, Full and Cylinder choked. Concave smooth rib with fine silver bead sight. Engraved on top of the rib "T. WILD. 17-18. WHITTALL STREET. BIRMINGHAM". Coin finish action with fine English scroll engraving, "W. ATKINSON" in banners on both sides. The bottoms of both barrels are stamped "MADE IN ENGLAND". The bottoms of the chambers are stamped with crown/NP, BP and BV proofing. Moderately figured fancy walnut stock with checkered English straight grip. 14 inch length of pull with checkered hard rubber buttplate. The stock has a slight offset. Unmarked silver oval inlay on bottom of butt. Checkered walnut forend with latch release, mounts with English scroll. 6.5 lbs. Mechanically fine with tight smooth lock-up. Finish on the barrels showing some faint thinning. Our import mark on the water table., s/n 25xx |
