| Description: |
| 4'' barrel, From the Stembridge Armory Collection, which was a major provider of firearms, both prop and real firearms, for the motion picture industries in Hollywood CA. Little John's Auction Service helped liquidate the collection in 2007. This particular Webley prop gun was featured in the 1997 film "Titanic" starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, and was used during a scene where an officer, during loading of lifeboats, was holding back the crowd waving a Webley revolver back and forth. An actual functioning revolver was then used when the officer turned away from the crowd to load the revolver. This molded rubber Webley MKI revolver is full size and even has broad arrow and Birmingham proofs visible, the winged Webley mark on the left side of the frame, as well as a serial number "63109" which matches on the cylinder and bottom of the frame. Traces of glossy black finish, and wearing brown color on the grips. This prop gun was part of the auctions Lot 458, purchased at the time from the auction by the consignee, now offering this item for sale. |
