| 22 LONG RIFLE; 80% blue, excellent bore, good stock, 30.75'' barrel, 1889 rifle manufactured in 1892, converted to single shot with a 22 caliber barrel insert installed. Blued finish, walnut stock and handguard. Bolt is not numbered. Buttplate is mis-matched. Magazine modified, retaining the cutoff. No spring or follower. Standard military front and rear sights. The rear sight has a Girex type elevation adjustment installed under the rear sight leaf. Grip added to the stock is loose. Faint Cross in Shield stamp on the right side of the buttstock. Metal plate screwed to the bottom of the upper forend is marked "A.P. / KRIENS". Metal and wood show wear, use and handling. Mechanically fine, bright bore. Antique., s/n 291xx |
