| 22 LONG RIFLE; 70% blue, excellent bore, good stock, 30.75'' barrel, M1889 Rifle manufactured in 1892, converted to 22 single shot. Original blued finish. Mounted in a walnut stock and handguard. Matching serial numbers on bolt and buttplate. Barrel has a non-matching number. "P12" private purchase mark on top of the receiver ring. Original magazine modified with a grooved follower installed for single loading. The metal finish and wood show some wear and handling with scattered rust spotting. There is a small crack behind the receiver tang. Sharp Cross in Shield proof on right side of stock. Includes the attached commercial braided leather sling. Antique, s/n 498xx |
