| 7.5X55 MM; 65% blue, excellent bore, good stock, 30.7'' barrel, SWISS M1896/11 INFANTRY RIFLE WITH MATCHING NUMBERS MADE ORIGINALLY AS A MODEL 1896 RIFLE IN 1898 IN ANTIQUE FINE CONDITION. LATER WAS UPGRADED TO A M1896/11 CONFIGURATION BETWEEN 1912/1920. THE RIFLE WAS PRIVATIZED IN 1952. THE BLUING SHOWS MODERATE WEAR ON THE RECEIVER ALONG WITH HEAVY WEAR ON THE TRIGGER GUARD ASSEMBLY AND MAGAZINE. THE BORE IS MIRROR BRIGHT WITH EXCELLENT RIFLING. THE STOCK IS SOLID WITH THE TYPICAL FOR THESE INLETTED PISTOL GRIP SHOWING NUMEROUS DINGS, SCRATCHES AND COMPRESSION DENTS. THE HANDGUARD HAS A LONG CRACK THAT WAS ARSENAL REPAIRED WITH 6 DOWELS.
