| 44 Rimfire; fair bore, good stock, 20'' barrel, Manufactured c.1869. Metal parts have turned an even dark patina with hints of blued finish in protected areas. Casehardened lever and hammer have turned a spotty patina. Brass frame with saddle ring on left side. Walnut stock with age oil build up. Round barrel with fixed front sight on upper band. Original 300-500 yard flip rear sight. Stamped on top of the barrel "HENRY'S PATENT OCT. 16 1860 / KING'S PATENT MARCH 29, 1866". Serial number stamped on the bottom of the lower tang. The end of the lower tang is stamped "SC". A good solid example of the Winchester rifle that won the west, mechanically fine. Bore has some shine and strong rifling, does have pitting.
