| 32 WCF; 70% blue, very good bore, good stock, 24.25'' barrel, Manufactured in 1884. Original blue finish, casehardened lever, plain walnut stock. With Cody Firearms Museum letter. Full octagon barrel with Marble's No2 beaded front sight. Elevation adjustable rear sight, leaf filed down, thumb piece filed down. Half magazine. Crescent butt. Stamped on top of the barrel with the Winchester address and King's Improvement patent dates in two lines. Upper tang marked "Model 1873". Serial number on lower tang, cartridge elevator marked for "32 Cal." Wood lightly sanded long ago. Visible case color on lever. Scattered spotting on frame plates. Mechanically fine. Letter states shipped from warehouse September 3, 1884. Antique, s/n 1592xx |
