| 38-40 Win; good bore, good stock, 24.25'' barrel, Manufactured in 1883. Metal has turned an even patina overall, original walnut stock. Full octagon barrel, fixed front sight with silver blade, elevation adjustable rear sight. Stamped on top of the barrel with the Winchester address and King's Improvement patent markings in two lines. Upper tang engraved "MODEL 1873". Modern German commercial import marks on lower tang under lever. Original dust cover. The bore has strong rifling, showing light pitting throughout. Mechanically fine. Antique., s/n 1242xxA |
