| 30-40 Krag; 80% blue, excellent bore, good stock, 27'' barrel, Manufactured in 1912. Original blue finish and plain walnut stock. Round barrel with beaded fixed front sight, no rear sight. Ebony forend tip, crescent butt. Marked on top of the barrel with the Winchester address in two lines. Marked on the left side of the barrel with the caliber designation and "NICKEL STEEL BARREL/ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER". Upper tang is marked "PAT. OCT. 7th 79./-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK". Oval proofs on top of the barrel and frame. Visible case color on the breechblock and hammer. The frame has scratches from handling with spotting along the upper right side and on the upper and lower tangs. Mechanically fine, nice bore. C&R/FFL, s/n 1015xx |
