Early production, the left side of the receiver is stamped with the circled star mark indicating non-interchangeable parts, applied on early production rifles due to complaints from the military on quality. Winchester bolt and upper band, other parts E or R marked. Storage grease inside the action and in protected areas externally. Mechanically fine. The bore is dark with strong rifling.
