| 270 WIN; 95% blue, excellent bore, fair stock, 24'' barrel, Manufactured in 1948. Original blue finish, mounted in a period Herters checkered fancy walnut stock. Ramped fixed front sight missing the hood. Rear barrel sight removed with dovetail block installed. The receiver is fitted with a Griffin and Howe side mount with a Lyman Alaskan All Weather 2.5X scope mounted. The scope has very good optics with a pointer/crosshair reticle. The mount has the neatly milled side and according to consignor notes is an original Griffin & Howe rifle. Non-engraved quick release floorplate. Matching serial number bolt. The stock shows some handling and wear to the varnish finish. Includes an original Pre-64 checkered walnut stock, no metal, in good condition. C&R/FFL, s/n 798xx |
