| 44 WCF; fair bore, fair stock, 20'' barrel, Manufactured in 1894. Grey metal with dark spotting and some minor pitting. Original plain walnut stock with repaired wrist, cracked on right side with patch repairs on left at corners of frame, brass plates screwed onto each side. Original fixed front sight, carbine ladder rear sight. Marked on top of the barrel with the Winchester address in two lines. Upper tang is marked "MODEL 1892/-WINCHESTER-/PAT. OCT. 14. 1884.". Many small dings on metal, including on top of bolt around extractor. Mechanically fine. Bore has strong rifling with areas of corrosion and pitting. Antique, s/n 454xx |
