| 44-40 Win; 90% blue, fair bore, fair stock, 20'' barrel, Manufactured circa 1918. Metal has been reblued, scattered areas of blued over light pitting, some markings faint. Original walnut stock, dark with oil soaking, a few small cracks around the end of the butt. Round barrel with fixed front sight and folding ladder rear sight. Marked over the left side of the barrel with the Winchester address and 1884 patent date in two lines. Caliber marking over left side of the barrels chamber. Marked on the upper tang "MODEL 92/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. & FGN". Oval proofs not visible. Bore has strong rifling with pitting throughout. Mechanically fine. Import marked. C&R/FFL, s/n 87xx |
