| 38 WCF; 50% blue, Good bore, good stock, 20'' barrel, Manufactured in 1909. Original blue finish and walnut stock. Brass blade fixed front and folding ladder rear sights. Stamped on the left side of the barrel with the two-line Winchester address and October 14, 1884 patent date. The caliber designation is stamped near the frame 38 W.C.F. The Winchester oval proofs appear on top of the barrel and frame. The upper tang is stamped MODEL 1892/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK REG. IN U.S. PAT. OFF. The metal finish shows wear and handling with areas of thinning to patina overall. There is some dark spotting on the frame. The wood has been lightly sanded at some point, showing scattered minor dings and scratches. Mechanically fine. The bore has shine and strong rifling, showing some pitting throughout.
