| 38-55 Win; poor bore, good stock, 20'' barrel, Manufactured in 1919. Metal has turned dark patina over all with light spotting over all. Original plain walnut stock. Original silver blade fixed front sight and ladder rear sight. Top of barrel stamped with the Winchester address in two lines. Upper tang marked "MODEL 1894/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. & FGN.". Oval proofed on top of frame. Buttplate has been nickel plated, some of the plating flaking off with rust in areas of loss. The wood appears to have been lightly sanded long ago. Mechanically fine. The bore is worn, dark and pitted. C&R/FFL, s/n 8465xx |
