| 12 Gauge; 40% blue, 25'' barrel, Lever Action Shotgun that was manufactured in 1890. Designed by firearms genius John M. Browning, the Model 1887 was the first successful repeating shotgun. The left side of the receiver is marked with the large "WRACo" monogram, the serial number is on the bottom of the receiver and the lower tang is marked "MANUFACTURED BY THE/WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO./- NEW HAVEN CONN. U.S.A. -/PAT. FEB. 16. & JULY 20". Single brass bead sight and 2 5/8-inch chamber. Blue barrel and magazine tube and mounted with the standard smooth two slab walnut forearm and pommel grip stock with checkered iron buttplate. Length of pull is 12 7/8 inches. The finish has some light scattered freckling. the wood has minor handling / storage wear. ANTIQUE, s/n 280xx |
