| 30-06 Cal; 93% blue, very good+ bore, very good stock, 24'' barrel, This re-barreled rifle was manufactured in 1915. It is mounted with a front beaded blade in a dovetail, the rear barrel dovetail mounted sight is missing, it has been drilled/tapped for scope mounts. The barrel is marked “Nickel Steel barrel / Especially For Smokeless Powder” and “.30 U.S. Mod. 1906”. The left side of the frame is marked “Manufactured By The Winchester Repeating Arms co. / New Haven. Conn. U.S.A. Pat. Nov. 5. 95. Nov. 12. 95. Aug. 17. 97. Jan. 25. 98. Aug. 23. 98. May. 28. 07. The serial number is found on the lower tang over “B”. The upper tang is marked “Mode 1895/ Winchester / Trade Mark Reg. In U.S. Pat. Off.”. Mounted in a re-stock fancy walnut checkered (on left side only) pistol grip stock with a repair under buttplate, checkered Schnabel forend with black insert. Receiver has turned a nice brown patina. Bore is gray., s/n 843xx |
