| 44 Henry; good bore, good stock, 20'' barrel, Manufactured in 1881 it is the 4th Variation. .44 Henry RF, 20" round barrel, S/N 155280. The barrel has turned a blue- gray with overall thinning. The front sight is a blade and the rear is a V notch with a flip up. Barrel markings are still legible, although slightly weak. The receiver is brass, and the dust cover is missing. The left side of the receiver has a saddle ring. It has mild handling marks. The lower tang has the S/N 155280. The forearm is in very good condition with few handling dings. The buttstock has a crack on each side at the wrist, and chipping at the wrist also. The buttplate has a trap door. It has three replacement screws on the upper tang, and the lever hinge point, and the buttplate. The action works. ANTIQUE, s/n 1552xx |
