| 22 Short; 60% blue, fair bore, fair stock, 24'' barrel, Mfg. 1889. Worn and thinned original blue finish, casehardened frame, plain walnut stock with crescent butt. Octagon barrel with blade fixed front sight, buckhorn style elevation adjustable rear sight. Full magazine tube. Top of barrel flat is stamped in two lines with the Winchester address Caliber marking on top of barrel and on bottom of brass cartridge elevator. Upper tang markings "MODEL 1873 The dust cover appears original. The metal is thinning and worn, and turning brown, the buttplate has mild patina. Mechanically fine., s/n 3215xx |
