| 45-90 WCF; good bore, good stock, 26'' barrel, Manufactured in 1888. Gray metal, plain walnut stock lightly sanded long ago. Full round barrel, original fixed front sight with silver blade, original buckhorn elevation adjustable rear sight. Stamped on top of the barrel "-MANUFACTURED BY THE-/-WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN CONN. U.S.A.-". Caliber designation 45-90 WCF stamped over the chamber. Upper tang marked "-Model 1886-". Some minor spotting on the frame. Mechanically fine. The bore has strong rifling, showing light pitting throughout. Antique., s/n 85xx |
