| 40-65 Winchester; 75% blue, good bore, good stock, 26'' barrel, Manufactured in 1909. Special order with part round part octagon barrel and half magazine tube. Original blue finish and walnut stock with crescent butt. Marble #2 beaded front sight, elevation adjustable rear sight. Tang mounted aperture sight. The top of the barrel is stamped with the Winchester address and patent dates in two-lines. The left side of the barrel is stamped "NICKEL STEEL" along with the caliber marking. The top of the barrel and frame are stamped with the oval proof. Most finish loss is on the frame. Import marked on the bottom of the frame. Mechanically fine. The bore has strong rifling, showing some minor pitting on the grooves. C&R/FFL, s/n 1474xx |
