| 30 Caliber; 96% blue, excellent + bore, excellent + stock, 28'' barrel, Manufactured in 1899 this Sporting Rifle has an original blued round barrel with a brass blade front sight and an elevation adjustable buckhorn rear sight. The top of the chamber is stamped with, "30 U.S." and, "NICKEL STEEL BARREL/ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER". Receiver overall has moderate wear with a scratch on the left side along with a 3-line address and patent info. The upper tang is marked with, "WINCHESTER/ MODEL 1895". Walnut stock and forend has very few mild nicks or scratches., s/n 206xx |
