| 22 LR; 85% blue, very good bore, good grips, 22'' barrel, VERY SCARCE WINCHESTER MODEL 56 BOLT ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 22 LR. SN 8411. Made only during the years 1926-1929 with about 8,000 having been made. This little rifle has a 22” round bbl., silver bead Jack front sight and a series 40 adjustable rear sight. The metal finish muzzle wear and mild spotting/thinning. The wood is straight grain American walnut, 1- pc stock with Schnabel tip forearm and semi-pistol grip with checkered steel buttplate. The forearm has a small chip on the bottom of the forearm. The finish has several mild handling marks and scrapes. The action works well. The magazine is missing. Import marked., s/n 84xx |
