| 20 GAUGE; fair bore, poor stock, 28'' barrel, Manufactured in England c.1912. Browned Damascus barrels with 2 1/2" chambers. Chokes gauge Modified and Cylinder. Concave matted barrel rib with fine brass bead sight. Marked on top of the rig "W.J. JEFFERY & CO. 60 QUEEN VICTORIA STREET LONDON EC". Casehardened frame and lockplates, turned mostly dark patina. Crossbolt. Checkered walnut stock, forearm missing the tip. Stock has a 14.5" LOP with the original serated horn buttplate. Stock has a repaired break around the wrist, using brass plate and screws. Stock is loose at the repair. Glue repaired chip at the heel of the stock. Actions function fine and barrel lockup is good. Bores have some corrosion. Antique., s/n 158xx |
