Der Silent Steel Safe-Guard ist ein Hitzeschild für die Schalldämpfer der Silent Steel Streamer-Familie. Der Hitzeschild schützt den Benutzer und die Ausrüstung vor Verbrennungen. Der Luftraum zwischen der äußeren Carbonfaserhülle und dem Schalldämpfer verhindert die Wärmeübertragung vom Schalldämpfer auf den Hitzeschild. Beim Schießen saugt der Druck des Schussgeräuschs Luft aus den Belüftungslöchern am hinteren Ende der Abdeckung. Das Design ermöglicht einen hohen Luftdurchfluss zur Kühlung des Schalldämpfers und des Hitzeschilds. Die Materialien mit geringer Wärmeübertragung werden nicht so heiß, dass der Safe-Guard Ausrüstung verbrennt oder Handschuhe schmilzt, wenn der heiße Schalldämpfer vom Lauf abgenommen wird. Der Safe-Guard ist sehr leicht, aber dennoch stoß- und hitzebeständig und kann kurzzeitig Temperaturen von über 600 °C aushalten. |
