| seltene Sammlerwaffe Der Wilde Westen in der Hosentasche. Die "Knuckle Duster" des schottischen Einwanderers James Reid gilt als eine der seltensten Waffen aus dieser Zeit. Sie hat eine 7schüssige Trommel in 22rf und war darüberhinaus als Schlagwaffe konzipiert, getreu dem Spruch seines Erfinders: "Erschieße nie einen Mann, wenn du ihn auch niederschlagen kannst." Die erste Produktions-Serie des Jahres 1863 mußte eingestellt werden wegen Verletzung des noch laufenden Rollin-White-Patents. 5 Jahre später lief sie wieder an, und 1869 war das Patent bekanntlich frei. Die angebotene Waffe trägt die Seriennummer 4245 und dürfte damit noch aus dem Jahr 1869 stammen. Jene Reihe war links unter der Trommel gestempelt mit "MY FRIEND". Zudem weist diese 4245er noch den anfänglichen Konstruktionsfehler von rechtsdrehender Trommel bei rechtsdrehendem Zylinderstift auf. Vor allem die Trommel ist so gut wie neuwertig erhalten, an der Unterseite fehlen Teile des Mechanismus; daher der günstige Preis.
