| Smith & Wesson Chiefs Special, 9mm R.K., Schaft / Gehäuse: Metall - Griffstück brüniert, schwarze Kunststoffgriffschalen; Kapazität: 5 Patronen, Single Action / Double Action Der scharfe Smith & Wesson Chiefs Special wurde eher unter dem Namen Modell 36 bekannt, da der Beinamen nur zwischen 1950 und 1957 geführt wurde. Nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg, als die Rüstungsproduktion eingestellt wurde, entschied sie S&W dazu einen kompakten Revolver im Kaliber .38 Special zu produzieren. Da der verfügbare Rahmen aber nicht stark genug für diese Ladung war, wurde kurzerhand ein neuer konstruiert. Er bekam den Namen J-Frame. Auf Grund der Außenmaße reduzierte sich die Kapazität des Revolvers auf 5 Schuss. Einmal veröffentlicht, startete eine lange Kariere, die immer noch nicht zu Ende ist. In Japan, Malaysia und Norwegen wurde er die Waffe der Wahl für Polizeibeamte in Zivil. In den USA selbst war er beim NYPD (New York Police Department) die Hauptwaffe für Kriminalbeamte und wird heute teilweise immer noch als zusätzliche Backup-Waffe genutzt wenn der eigentlichen Dienstpistole die Munition ausgeht. Um an diesen Erfolg anzuknüpfen entschied sich Umarex die Schreckschuss-Variante im Kaliber 9mm R.K des S&W Chiefs Special zu produzieren. Dieser verfügt über einen Single-/Double Action Abzug, einen zentralen Ausstoßer sowie eine ausschwenkbare Trommel.
