| Das Schwert wurde in Japan Traditionell gefertigt. Klinge : Honsanmai ist die gebräuchlichste Konstruktion für Klingen. Die Seitenflächen der Klinge werden durch das Hauteisen geschützt. Die Klinge ist robust und hat den Vorteil, dass der Klingenrücken (mit dem auch pariert werden konnte) nicht gehärtet ist. Dadurch konnte ein Bruch der Klinge vermieden werden. Das Schwert ist ein Einzelstück und wurde mit originalen japanischen Schleifsteinen geschliffen sowie poliert. Die Klinge wurde nach traditioneller Weise unter Lehmbestrich gehärtet und hat an der Schneide eine Rockwellhärte von ca. 60 Grad und am Rücken eine Härte von ca. 40 Grad. Die Tsuka ist aus Holz, mit echter Rochenhaut unterlegt und schwarzer Seidenband umwickelt. Am Griff sind zwei Mekugis (Bambusdübel) angebracht. Das Schwert ist zerlegbar und sehr scharf geschliffen. Dieses Schwert eignet sich bestens für Schnittübungen.
