Le P5 a emprunté l’excellente base technologie du P38/P1. Cependant, les systèmes de sécurité ont été entièrement revus. Au lieu d’une sûreté manuelle, le P5 dispose de quatre mécanismes de sécurité automatiques fonctionnant indépendamment. Le pistolet peut être transporté en toute sécurité lorsqu’il est prêt à tirer, sans qu’il soit nécessaire d’actionner un levier de sûreté avant de tirer. Une particularité du P5 est la combinaison d’un loquet coulissant et d’un levier de désarmement, unique parmi les pistolets. Une autre particularité est que la douille est éjectée vers la gauche, contrairement à la plupart des pistolets à chargement automatique, où la douille est éjectée régulièrement vers la droite. Ce ' young timer ' reste une arme redoutable d'efficacité, de fiabilité et d'inventivité technologique, même en 2024 ! |
