Der verstellbare Daniel Defense Hinterschaft besteht aus einer proprietären Mischung aus glasfaserverstärkten Polymeren und ist an strategischen Stellen mit Soft-Touch-Gummi umspritzt. Der neue Hinterschaft ist präzise für Mil-Spec-Receiver Erweiterungen geformt, damit nach vorne oder seitlich sehr wenig Spiel vorhanden ist. Dadurch entfällt die Notwendigkeit einer Spannvorrichtung oder Reibungssperre. All dies führt zu einem langlebigen Hinterschaft, der dem Schützen eine bequeme und wiederholbare Wangenanpassung und eine noch nie dagewesene Kontrolle über die Waffe ermöglicht. Der Hinterschaft kann mit einer der beiden mitgelieferten Schaftkappen oder ohne Schaftkappe verwendet werden, um das Gewehr an die jeweilige Ausrüstung des Schützen anzupassen. Die Schaftkappen gibt es in zwei Grössen: eine dickere, konvexe Form (0.8") und eine dünnere, konkave Form (0.5"), die ein Hängenbleiben beim Tragen des Gewehrs verhindern soll. Begrenzt drehbare QD-Drehgelenke sind auf beiden Seiten des Hinterschaftes integriert, um eine beidhändige Riemenverbindung zu ermöglichen. GEWICHTE UND ABMESSUNGEN
