Klappmesser Keiler Tool

3 Klingen · 440C-Stahl · G10-Griffschalen

A breaking tool for wild boar hunters: main blade, guts hook knife, and saw in one handle, each blade individually locked. For cleaning, the entire knife can be unscrewed apart.

▸Three blades for three steps
Dropoint main blade, long breaking blade, and strong saw

▸Backlock for each blade
Each blade locks in individually - no closing under load.

▸Fully detachable
Grip shells removable via Torx screws - hygienic down to the crevices

▸Griffige G10-Schalen
Structured and resilient - they also hold with bloody hands

▸Cordura belt sheath
In Olive/Black, included in the delivery.

When breaking down wild boar, simple tools quickly reach their limits - especially in winter, when the hide clumps together. The Keiler Tool comes with three blades for this: the Droppoint blade for fine work, the long Gekrösemesser that opens the hide in one go without getting stuck in the bristles, and a saw for the breastbone and lock. At 255 grams, it's no lightweight, but it replaces several individual tools in your backpack.

01 — Merkmale

Details of the equipment

Main blade in drop point grind

8.5 cm long, 2.9 mm thick and with a subtle hollow grind - easy to handle and uncomplicated to sharpen.

Breaking blade as a guts hook knife

8 cm long, with a blunt tip: opens the hide without injuring the abdominal skin - even with thick, fat-covered hides.

Saw blade with 9 cm

Strong enough for breastbone and lock - especially with boars, there's no way around sawing.

All metal parts made of 440C

Rust-bearing blade steel that can be sharpened well and withstands moisture exposure in the field.

Disassemblable for cleaning

The G10 shells are held in place with rust-free Torx screws. Once removed, you can access every spot—a real hygiene advantage over closed folding knives.

Lanyard loop

For a strap, so the knife doesn't get lost during slippery work.

04 — Questions & Answers

Frequently asked questions

Which blade do I use for what?

The Droppoint main blade for general cuts, the Gekrösemesser for opening the hide, and the saw for the sternum and lock.

Why can the knife be disassembled?

For hygiene reasons. In a closed folding knife, something always remains in the blade slots—here, you remove the shells and clean everything thoroughly.

Wie gut lässt sich 440C schärfen?

Uncomplicated. The steel is rust-resistant and can be honed with simple tools—practical when you need to sharpen between pieces.

Is it too heavy at 255 grams?

For a three-blade knife, the weight is normal—it replaces individual knives and saws. For someone looking for a lightweight pocketknife, a single-blade model is better suited.

Wie wird es gepflegt?

Clean by hand, dry thoroughly, and occasionally oil the joints. "Rostträg" does not mean rust-proof - blood and moisture should not remain on the blade overnight.
