Original historical Springfield muzzle-loader percussion rifle from the time of the US Civil War ?, no stamping, barrel inner diameter approximately 16mmHere's a note for the auction winner:It would be nice if the rifle could be picked up, because if it were to be shipped, the shipping as bulky goods would cost 35€. For international delivery, please inquire about the shipping costs. The depicted historical rifle is a Springfield muzzleloader, visually resembling the US percussion rifle Model 1863, a typical percussion volley or infantry weapon from the time of the American Civil War with a dark wooden stock and a visible hammer. It is a muzzleloading percussion rifle with a percussion lock. Now the condition is, as you can see, corresponding to the time around the 1860s. However, everything is solid. As a private sale, no warranty and no return. On 01.09.2026 at 19:35:02, the seller added the following addition: A nice eGunner contacted me and confirmed during my auction that this is the rifle described below and not the Springfield-front-loading percussion rifle described here. Many thanks to the eGunner. In the case of the muzzle-loading percussion rifle, it is the "Baden Rifle of the Sergeants of the Line Infantry Model 1840/44 UM"thus a quite rare and not often occurring piece. |
